Yale Welcoming Committee
Dear Future Internists,
Welcome to the profession and welcome to Yale!
The Yale Welcoming Committee (YWC) was created to provide an opportunity for you to get to know the residents and for the residents to share information with you. We are here to answer all questions regarding the every day nitty-gritty of what life is like inside and outside the hospital quarters.
As you progress through your interview season, we hope you will consider us a resource in addition to the Chief Residents, Associate Program Directors and the Program Director. While we work closely with the administration during the interview season, your questions and comments are confidential and the residents involved in the YWC do not participate in the application selection process.
Please feel free to email email@example.com with any questions that come up during your interview season and match process, or if you would simply like to meet more residents after your interview. We always have someone on call to answer emails, and are determined to get back to you within 48 hours. We will also be hosting a webinar in January (date TBD) featuring a panel of current residents to answer any and all questions you may have regarding residency here. We hope that this provides a meaningful way for you to learn more about what it is like to be a resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital, about the culture of the Yale Internal Medicine Traditional Residency Program, and what it is like to live here in New England.
We wish you a wonderful interview season, and look forward to hearing from you soon!
