What's the Interview Day Like?

Parking

If you drive, please park in the Air-Rights Garage; the main parking garage for Yale-New Haven Hospital.  Air-Rights Garage is the only parking lot the residency program can validate or pay for your parking.  Present your Air-Rights Garage parking ticket to Mary Sarah Thanas who will validate/stamp your parking ticket.

Interview Day Details

Please refer to our Yale School of Medicine Campus MAP or an interactive Yale School of Medicine Campus Map.  Please look to the interview dates listed above to see where we begin a particular interview day, as we don't start each day in the same place.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. when continental breakfast will be served.  You will receive an individualized schedule upon arrival and each applicant will receive two interviews and a tour of Yale-New Haven Hospital. We are not able to provide the names of your faculty interviewers to you before the morning you arrive. If you need to, you may bring your luggage with you in the morning and we'll lock it up in a secure location until you depart.

The last activity of the day will be a tour of the City of New Haven, which should end no later than 4:30 p.m. The tour bus will take you to Tweed New Haven Airport, the New Haven Train Station or back to the Air-Rights Garage.
